Kobe Low Poly Project

For the low poly project, we had to chose any famous person and make triangles on them to make it look like they are made out of triangles. I chose Kobe Bryant, a former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player. Unlike the bird project, a new, easier way to make the triangles was discovered. We set up the Actions panel, where we recorded our steps and then stopped the recording. These steps included clicking on the background layer, making a triangle with the polygonal lasso tool, using an average blur to merge the colors, and copying and pasting the triangles onto the second copy layer. Smaller triangles were used for the facial features, such as the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. while larger triangles were used for the jersey and the rest of the face. Finally, I put a purple-black gradient behind him. A major challenge in this project was making sure that the triangles on his jersey weren't the same color. Because his jersey is yellow, I thought that the triangles would be the same color and not look like a triangle. To make sure this didn't happen, after I made a triangle, I adjusted the hue/saturation of the triangle. I feel lie I successfully completed this project because Kobe looks the same with/without the triangles.
