Double Exposure #1

  1. As this the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective? My main objective was to combine two pictures; one of the singer, The Weeknd, and stars. I did this because he recently came out with a new album, Starboy.

  2. What tools did we primarily use for this project? I used the quick selection tool, the paint brush tool, and the layer mask technique for this project

  3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project? Some challenges I faced during this project include masking his hair, creating somewhat of a gradient of stars to put on him, and making streaks of stars in the background to not make it plain.

  4. One of the options for this project was to remove the background of your main image. If you chose that option for one or all your pieces, what tools or techniques did you use to remove it? Were there some tools or techniques that worked better for you than others? To remove the background of my main image. I used the quick selection tool. This way easy because the tools helped me to quickly select the person to crop him out.

  5. What are the advantages of using a Layer Mask to create the Double Exposure effect? You can easily use the paint brush tool to either paint on or erase the effect from the body of the person.
