  1. As this the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective?

My main objective was to make Beyonce out of four words that describe her.

2. What tools did we primarily use for this project?

For this project, I used the text, paint brush, and the rectangular marquee tool.

3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some challenges I faced include presenting the words in a neat and organized maner, and showing the different shades of Beyonce’s face through the words.

4. One of the requirements of this project was to make a custom paintbrush. How did you accomplish this and what kind of brushes did you make?

First, I chose four words that represent Beyonce; Blue Ivy (her daughter), Singer (her profession), Lemonade (her latest album), and Queen Bee (her nickname). Then, I used the rectangular marquee tool to individually select each word. Lastly, I defined each of the four words/phrases as brushes.

5. An important requirement for this project was about defining your values. Making sure each value does not blend with the others. There are multiple ways to go about this. How did you accomplish this?

As the layers of her face became lighter, I lowered the opacity of the words to match her face. Also, I made some words bigger than others on certain layers for people to see the words, as well as showing the opacity of the word.
